3. I think the problem here is that people can say anything on the Internet...
...without much consequence (in terms of credibility) or accountability, so it's just too easy to demand things like impeachment over and over again.

It also seems to be degenerating into a culture of wallowing and pretending and not doing. Actually doing politics requires people to think more realistically or else they waste real effort and lose real credibility; this thing people are engaged in here is more like fantasy football, but with politics.
