26. You're making an awful lot of assumptions...
...few of which are justified.

If Obama does win the nomination, there's no reason to assume the Republicans are going to do anything worse to him than what they could do to Hillary. The sad part for democracy is you assumption that independent/swing voters are going to be mindlessly brainwashed by any and all Republican smears and the Democratic candidate is foredoomed. The reality is that politics is a game of win some, lose some. Neither party has a permanent lock on elections, and neither party plays fair all the time.

Nader might get on the ballot. He has to raise money first, and get taken seriously. He ran in 2004 as well but most people hardly remember that because he didn't make any significant difference to the outcome.

Bloomberg might run but that's a far cry from assuming that he will. And he's just as likely to suck votes from McCain as Oabam or Hillary.
