gee...looky what came up in wikepedia for Jack Abramoff:

Protection of Alabama Gov. Bob Riley by John McCain
As chair of the Indian Affairs Committee, Senator John McCain had access to an email detailing what Abramoff wanted Alabama Governor Bob Riley to do in return for campaign contributions from Abramoff's tribal clients. McCain, however, withheld the email from his report on the Abramoff scandals
