John's passing lit the spark for the Civil Rights Act. Let Teddy's light the spark for Universal HC

For those too young to remember it the loss of JFK gave a sense of urgency that made the Civil Rights Act of 1964 pass with real teeth and was a turning point in how America understood itself from a moral point of view.

Until now the health care debate has centered on practial questions.

Hopefully Teddy's passing will light a similar spark that will re-center the debate on the point he has dedicated his life to - that universal access to health care is basic right that a great country would want to provide to all of its citizens.

Good-bye old friend you are like an Uncle to all of us.
