...and judge for themselves what goes on here.

I have lots of friends and not all of them are liberals, Dems, and moderates. Some are quite sincerely Republicans. Many of them are very smart people, too. The issues that keep them voting Republican are mostly religion (born-agains) and gun rights. Most get their "news" from Rush and the rest of RW radio. Everything else is "too liberal."

The most fun thing was asking them what they liked about Bush that made them want to vote for him. Not once did I get an answer that favored Bush...it was always, "Because Kerry is so awful!"

To me, if you can't think of a single good thing about your candidate, it's only logical to look at somebody else or not cast a vote. It's obvious they don't like Bush - one came right out and said it - but they FEAR Democrats.

Rush and his cohorts have done their job well. They have managed to turn brave, independent, thinking people into unquestioning, rationalizing, fear-filled robots. What a shame.
