7. Does anybody know why CNN is the way that it is?

I dont recall their beginnings, but I thought that at one time they were progressive leaning. Did the initial success of Crossfire get them going down the wrong road? I didnt get cable until 1991, so I dont have the full history of the channel. Regardless, its a big disappointment watching an outfit squander all that potential.
