I believe Stevens can make it to Janurary of 2007 when the next Congress takes over. That's why it's soooo important the Democrats take control of the Senate that way we'd have the majority and the Chairmanship of the Judiciary Commitee. Bush would not be able to pass a ragging neo-conservative to the bench. He'd probably could try but his nominee wouldn't get on the Surpreme Court.

This is how we kept Bork off the bench. We need the Congress to keep Bush's agenda in check for the last 2 years of his term, atleast we need the Senate.
