17. Ground yourself first. That'll tune in your truth detector.
Put your mind at your heart and imagine yourself in the middle of a perfectly comfortable circle, as a ball of light connected by a cord at the top to the center of the sun which you're always under and from the bottom to the center of the earth which you're always above. Light it up. Stay in your heart and maintain this. You'll be able to tell whether he's lying or telling the truth. You have only to remember the image for it to manifest for you; it's your intention that takes care of business.

Practice this a couple or three times before you go. The big picture goal is to maintain this as best you can from here on out. Once you have proficieny in bringing up a stable circle, you can ground yourself another way by extending the sides down to the center of the earth. Each time you practice, you add to what you create and you can recall it more easily. This leads to you a comfortably large egg and will protect you as you make your way in the world.

If you use this, let me know how it goes.
