4. "The Ensigns of Command"
For once I have to agree with that puerile and preachy star trek next generation show.

An impending catastrophy forces people to leave their planet.

The winning arguments are that people can make new traditions and nothing is forever. It is pointless to die defending things. For they would die defending what they had; and once slaughtered they and their things would be obliterated anyway.

I openly disagree with the concept New Orleans should be rebuilt. Especially when all the environmentalists shouting "polar caps melting; will raise sea levels" mean that future storms will make Katrina seem like a flick of sweat off one's brow by comparison.

And, fuck yeah, change ain't easy. But sometimes it's got to be done. :(

And I think we're all stuck in a rut, not wanting our turn at change. Who wants to change? Especially if you're a Taurus or an Aspie.

But life is better than death.

Or so I keep getting told.

Hmmm. Maybe I really am of a survivor mentality. Imagine that.
