of the 1970's production of I, Claudius starring Eric Jacoby....specifically a scene where Claudius is talking with his friend, King Herrod, about the rumors of the birth of "a Messiah" in Bethlehem....
Herrod asks Claudius, "Do you suppose it's true?"
to which Claudius responds, "I must be. It's too fantastic to be a lie."
As the most implausible of the conspiracy theories come true...Bush DID actively participate in the cover-up/smear/outing/treason....then more theories will seem plausible and even likely.
This is the end of the Bush legacy....he will be marred by this forever.
