The withered pundits of the Old Media

keep saying that Lamont is a product of the far left bloggers. People like Cokie Roberts and George Will make this assertion over and over and just make themselves look idiotic and out of touch. For one thing, it's illogical. Why would anyone pay attention to the "lunatic left netroots" if it was so small and marginal? The answer is, it's not small and NOT marginal. The base of people who use the net for information gathering is large and broad and getting larger and broader every day. The Cokies and the George Wills of the world are becoming as quaint as mimeograph machines.

This is also insulting to the people of Connecticut since it implies that they somehow are the zombie tools of the internet. I think they can all judge for themselves if Joe Lieberman has represented them the way they choose to be represented whether they read print media or TV or use the internet. Cokie and George just hate to think of the peasants storming the castle gates. It's all just so, so . . . unseemly.
