Every candidate gets advice from various people, ultimately it is the candidate who makes the final decision. We all know Obama and Powell had different views on the Iraq War. So did Obama and many of the Dem candidates. But that doesn't mean that should not seek his advice. Powell, as much as he was wrong on the Iraq War, is very knowledgeable about foreign affairs.

And I'm sure there are things that Obama (and Dems) agree with Powell on: closing Gitmo, being against torture, engaging in talks with Syria & Iran, calling it a Civil War in Iraq, etc..

Open up your mind. If you want to surround or only seek advice from people that agree with you on everything, you are no different than George W.
