contest will be determined along racial lines depending on whether there are more voters who put their racism aside and vote in their own best interest or let their racism get in the way and vote McCain.

I personally know a couple of white seniors, lifelong Dems, who will not vote for Obama because of his race. It's ugly, and it's wrong, but it is what it is.

One thing is for certain about an Obama nomination. We'll either learn just how far we've come as a nation in bridging the racial divide, or how far we still have to go.
