If it is a publicity stunt, because there's no doubt it reaks of it. To do something like that is to turn the American people into pawns in a Monty Python skit. Already this Palin thing is backfiring. By doing something like that even if Palin was immensely popular it would basically hurt the GOP like nothing else. I'm sure the people would see through that as quickly as they saw through this.

Unless of course the GOP is grasping at straws and want to play sensationalism to keep the people confused and guessing and by that method they have a chance at stealing.
