than the Republicans.

When Dukakis was called a liberal he shouldn't have acted so nervous and guilty -- he should've simply stated "Of course I'm a liberal Democrat, just like the father of the modern Democratic Party, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Liberalism is about liberty for all -- exactly what this country was founded on."

Ever since then Dems -for some stupid reason- have been terrified of the word 'liberal'.

You see, most Americans probably didn't even understand what a liberal really was then or is now -- but they DO know when someone is EMBARRASED of what they are. Why should voters fight for liberals when they won't even fight for themselves ?

We can thank our wimpy Dem establishment for how badly we've been bullied over the past 20+ years.
