Bachmann and her ilk have sponsored all sorts of loony far right legislation that the Senate almost always blocks. Remember, the DFL in the Senate did take down Yecke, the gay marriage ban and the death penalty. But taking action is definately a good idea.

edit: in fact, I suspect this bill is not intended to pass, it's just Bachmann throwing yet another bone to the loony right to help her secure the nomination for the 6th district.
