Obama planning Austin trip

President Barack Obama plans to headline an Aug. 9 fundraiser in Austin for the Democratic National Committee, according to Democratic sources.

He is also planning to headline a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee event the same day in Houston.

According to an e-mail circulating among local Democrats, the event is tentatively scheduled for the Four Seasons, with tickets starting at $5,000 per person and ranging up to $30,400 per couple, which includes VIP seating and a photo with Obama.


Well I certainly hope some of that money raised comes back to Texas! Maybe we could line up to watch the motorcade go by and wave. :(
