Interesting Conversation with Reporter today

A Reporter for a, shall we say, VERY MAJOR, metropolitan paper, based in the NE, told me today that it is not the Reporters on the ground who are stifling this story. It's the Editors who are reassigning reporters to, essentially as he put it, bullshit stories. People in middle-management are afraid for their careers, and don't want to be on the chopping block. But there's a lot of sniffing - the young pups want to emulate Woodward and Bernstien (they should only know what REALLY went on there - things are not always as they seem). This would be a much bigger story than Watergate. It would stagger the very pillars upon which this country was founded and would 'shake the world'.

I believe, as so many others here do, that things are beginning to break. Stay tuned...Developing...

ON EDIT: Funny thing: he said that he and other reporters were surfing all these websites looking for info. Now THAT'S what they call Bullshit Reporting in J-School. What you'e supposed to do is go out and TALK to people and get them to confess their superiors' sins. Schmucks all the way around.
