31. She's an important Senator and will be a strong voice for a long time
I don't think the Presidency should be the focus of all our hopes. Of even more concern to me than losing the Presidency in this past election is the fact that the Democratic Party is losing more and more power in both Houses of Congress. What good is having one liberal figure in the Presidency when the rest of the government shifts farther and farther to the right? We need Hillary to remain a very strong Senator and a leading voice for the progressive agenda. Of more importance to me is the election in 2006. We need to stop the Republican momentum now, in its tracks. For that, we need to get out our message and rally our base (which is even larger than the Republican base, but harder to motivate).
