10. Still all talk and no action
Edited on Fri Nov-19-04 11:32 PM by Eloriel
NO ACTION.

"We have 17,000 lawyers working on this, and the grassroots accountability couldn't be any higher -no (irregularity) will go unchecked. Period," Kerry spokesman David Wade said.

I'd like to see SOME result, or just some ACTIVITY that they're engaged in outlined. NADA. Nothing. Zip. Talk, just talk.

The people who ARE working on it are the 3rd Party Candidates, spurred to action by DUers -- IdaBriggs who discovered the NH anomalies in the first place and who with DUer hedda_foil got DUers and Randi Rhodes' listeners to fax Nader to persuade him to request a recount at the last possible minute (literally!).

That then developed into activity in Ohio, thanks to Cobb and Badnerik with the continuing help and involvement of hedda_foil and her colleagues.

What the COBB campaign manager is doing (again, with Help America Recount's help) is getting volunteers, getting them trained, getting observers, getting lawyers, COMPUTER EXPERT TEAMS, etc., etc., etc. -- all the stuff the Kerry campaign might do IF it had it's act together on this stuff. But I hear absolutely NOTHING about the Kerry campaign from hedda (except occasional very well-deserved disdain).

How ironic -- if we are successful in saving democracy from the jaws of these voting machines, it will have been We The People along with Third Party candidates who, not incidentally, will also help save the Democratic Party in the process.

If DUers want this to succeed, contribute to hedda_foil's Help America recount, the 527 set up specifically to help fund recounts. Hedda is also co-founder of the National Ballot Integrity Project. Here are the two links:
