What these Wingnuts "fear" is the disconnect that results when having to espouse hatred for homosexuals out of one side of their mouths, while later having to extol the virtues and contributions they make as well. That could raise questions in a students mind that maybe "these people" aren't all that bad.
And they can't have that because they NEED a scapegoat. They need a physically present example of the devil to direct their scorn at. And with the passage of nondiscrimination laws, they're running out of subjects. Next thing you know, they'll have to depend on preaching about junk like "LOVE." And what self-respecting Wingnut Christian wants to stoop to that level???
