Sorry you are not feeling well, and we hope you get better real soon. An energy booster juice would combine equal parts celery, carrot, parsley and beets.

Here is a soup recipe for yucky days:

KHORESH Te KARAFS

This is an ancient recipe from the Persians, that has a curative effect on the entire system; respiratory, intestinals, broncitis, flu-colds, flu-stomach, etc. This is sour, but HEALTHY! sometimes I even make it when we're not sick.

1 4-5 pound whole chicken
4 TBSP. Safflower Oil
2 Large Onions, cut up
2 Cups chopped celery
1 big bunch of Parsley, cut up
2 Cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp. pepper
1 heaping TBSP. Cinnamon
1 heaping TBSP. Turmeric
1 tsp. salt

Rinse and pat dry the chicken. Place in pot with one of the onions, cover completely with water and the lemon juice, the oil, 1/2 of the parsley, and the spices. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover & simmer for about 1 1/2 hours.

Remove chicken from the pot, add the other onion, the other 1/2 of the parlsey, and the celery, bring up to boil, reduce heat & cook for about twenty minutes, until celery is tender.

Make rice in a seperate pot, serve with the juice and slices of the chicken. Don't return the chicken to the pot, keep on the side.

on edit: I know this recipe sounds weird, but it is sooo good when you're feeling yucky, the recipe must contain the cinnamon and turmeric.
