I have a tree story. Many years ago I moved into a house that had a huge tree out front. Don't recall now what kind it was but it had a dead branch that looked in danger of falling. So I got my ladder and saw and took it off. Then I noticed lots of branches and twigs that were all dried out. I ended up spending hours clearing them all out.

A week or so later I was getting out of my car in front of the house and I noticed the tree was all covered with green sprouts and I suddenly "heard" the words "thank you." It was the most overwhelming feeling in my solar plexus and it literally made me weak in the knees for a few seconds. I've never forgotten it.

This happened long before "The Secret Life of Plants" came out.
