9. I was both enlisted and commissioned

USMC (enlisted) 1974-80; and also in the SC Army National Guard 1980-1990 (commissioned officer). Concerning your statement, "As officers are not enlisted, they do not get a discharge...." Well, I received one after being released from the IRR (DD Form 256A).

On edit: The Dept. of the Army never issued me a DD-214 (with the Honorable Discharge) like I was issued upon discharge from the Marines. I know the DD-214 is the important document. So, I wonder, am I really a PFC (Private F'ing Civilian) now? (sarcasm)
