2. Could be BS, but...
the Clintons have made several moves to show how "bi-partisan" they are lately including the Bush invitation to the Clinton Library, Hillary's support of government grants to faith based orgs, Bill's tsunami fundraiser org with partner George I, etc.

They are setting the stage for their centrist movement for Hillary to take the lead on, in a 2008 Presidential run. How could they support Dean if they want the party to remain centrist?

Didn't the Clinton's support Kerry during the primaries and not Dean?
