87. Like I should know?????
From personal experience, I mean?

Anyway, Pronk is the nickname of a certain DH for a certain baseball team. His real name is Travis Hafner. He got the nickname "Pronk" as a combination of "project" and "donkey." This is supposedly because at one point another Indian saw him at a practice and said he looked like a nice "project." "Project" became his nickname. Then, certain others started calling him "Donkey," and eventually the two nicknames combined.

The origins of "Donkey" are somewhat murky. At one time he said it might be because of how he ran bases, but when he was FIRST asked where the nickname came from, he said "Don't ask." Leading me to believe that the "running-the-bases" explanation may have been a case of revisionist history. I.e., the origins of "Donkey" lie somewhere that they'd rather not talk about. The locker room, perhaps?

I'm just speculatin'. I don't know nothin'. :-)
