According to Editor and Publisher and Yahoo news, she said of John Murtha that he was "the reason soldiers invented 'fragging'." This quote, while despicable, is clearly different from "John Murtha should be fragged."

Since they clearly got the story from Editor and Publisher (they link to it in the story) and they quote the yahoo story's explanation of fragging verbatim, it seems clear that they were aware of the original quote and distorted it.

A link to E&P's (more trustworthy) story on the incident: http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002689569

A link to the yahoo story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/huffpost/20060616/cm_huffpost/023117

The quote is bad enough as is. Presenting made up words as direct quotes just undermines the case against her.
