"Snakes on a Plane". A movie like this breeds nothing but more ignorance [View All]

I'm doing this post because I love snakes and I hate the assholes that are using these amazing creatures to make millions of dollars by playing on peoples fear of snakes combined with their fear of flying in the post-911 era. I love animals in general, but snakes are really special to me.

I hope whoever made this movie happen suffers bad luck the rest of their pitiful, greedy Hollywood careers. I don't care if they're Democrat or Republican.

How fucking dumb and greedy can Hollywood get? Make a gazillion dollars by feeding off people's fears. Let's see...people are afraid of terrorists. They're afraid of getting on planes. Hmm, lets find an animal that millions of people are afraid of and make a silly movie about those animals locked up on a plane with a cabin full of people.

Yup, I love snakes. I've had them as pets and have taken good care of many of them throughout my life. They are among the most fascinating animals on the face of the earth. If you know anything about snakes, they are arguably the cleanest animals on earth, too. Plus, they benefit mankind in many more ways than they could ever be a danger to us.

There are enough people scared of these animals already that the last thing we need is movie demonizing these splendid creatures. They go as far as making them into a form of terrorists. I'm sure that once this movie is history, future rattlesnake roundups in various states will reach epic proportions. Idiots all over the country will be killing anything they find in their yard that crawls for no other reason than the sake of killing something.

I love snakes. If I could get away with it, I'd lock up the producer of this idiotic farce in a cage with a hungry reticulated python. Whoever he or they are, they're lower than anything that ever crawled on this earth. To do something like this and have it take place on a plane is just irresponsible.
