16. Ya know, I've lived in or near San Francisco for almost 20 years now
and not once did anyone serve me Rice-a-roni at their homes, nor did I find anything like it at any restaurants.

San Francisco is home to a large and diverse population, and Asian and Italian influences can be found all over the city, just not this "San Francisco treat" (unless I'm just not going to the right places for dinner!).

Not to dissuade you from enjoying your side dish... but a real San Francisco treat would be some great Sourdough bread with real butter.
