if not his story verified.

If he really was in the 3rd Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment then it shouldn't be to hard to prove. It also shouldn't be to hard to cooberate his service dates with deployment of his unit to Iraq.

Anybody can claim to be an 'Army Ranger' but not that many people actually are. If he went through RIP, and went to the Battalion, and earned his tab and can prove it (which just requires some decent journalism background checking) then I'll be more inclined to believe him.
