That awful day in the Grand Canyon, when he didn't hear the question right, and was lampooned by everyone (Jon Stewart: "You WANT to lose!!").

True -- the Iranian president hadn't even been elected in 2004, but JK is very humorously acknowledging how pissed he is at himself for that mistake. This shows he takes responsibility for it, but in a funny and clever way.
