A simple proposal for airline safety-screening optional flights... [View All]

...I propose that each airline offer alternating screening systems for each successive flight-IE: odd hour flights to receive the "full monty",shoes off wands,special screenings,no flight lists,no liquids,etc,etc-these flights for those timid souls whom need Uncle Sugar to guarantee their precious safety.But for even hour flights I suggest the following-no screening-that's right,nothing at all,cash one way tickets-OK,swarthy men with turbans-dandy,carry-ons with strange bulges and sloshing sounds-fine....just one small difference-each passenger embarking is to be handed a loaded single shot pistol.Now each person on the plane has the ability to stop one other passenger-now how do you hijack THAT sucker??? Any overt destructive move makes you,with your single shot-plus whatever else you smuggled on board the target of multiple (read:dozens) of armed folk not interested in a ride to visit Allah-in fact ANY mistake probably leaves you looking like swiss cheese....Well just a thought.
But I DO wonder which flights would have more passengers-the "please,please, protect me",or the "it's an even playing field,I'll take my chances.".
