Jesse James bashing Bush is great news for Democrats. During the ’04 presidential elections Howard Dean said something like, ’it’s not the soccer, or safety moms we have to worry about, -it’s the Nascar Dads!’. A lot of Jesse James fans are Nascar fans. Nascar is the heart and soul of “red” state culture.

You say the word “democrat” to most Nascar fans...they hear “anti-bible, anti-hunting, immoral, pro-murdering babies”. I know that sounds harsh, but it’s true.

During the ’04 elections I remember this BIG name driver was being interviewed. The journalist asked the driver, “who he was backing in the elections?”. The guy was sweet, he admitted that he didn’t follow politics, BUT, “ leaned towards Bush, because he was a down to earth guy who liked to work on his ranch”. ...Dean’s right we have to get the (usually republican) Nascar culture on our side...Jesse James may have opened a door.
