33. That is an unfair comparison
MSNBC is a shitty cable arm of the NBC family. For a time there was talk of trashing it and moving the whole operation to CNBC. It's gained in importance over it's ten years of operation, but back then, it was losing money across the board. At the time, MSNBC wasn't making money; they were in the "growth" phase and trying to just stay afloat. Also, that turd Jack Welch was exerting a lot of influence. So, MSNBC wasn't making money on their popular shows, or their unpopular shows.

AAR is in the black now.

That said, they were fools to dump Phil. It was a huge mistake, and they know it. Blame the late Jerry Nachman for that error.
