24. But Goldberg IS the enemy!
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 09:29 AM by calipendence
Ever since he's taken over we've been getting f'd too many times! First programming decisions like bringing on Springer and pushing him a lot on places like KLSD which (for a while) had his delayed program at their request played instead of two hours of Mike Malloy's live program in the evenings here at KLSD in San Diego. Recently they evidently figured out carrying Mike Malloy the full three hours made better business sense. Now I'm guessing for at least a while they'll go back to delaying Springer's broadcast to play in Malloy's slot. Sucks.

Secondly, they forced me to buy a new XM receiver and drop Sirius when they went exclusive with XM with that stupid "exclusive" arrangement. I guess that didn't get them a lot of money now did it! And for some time they didn't carry Randi Rhodes or Mike Malloy live on XM like they did on Sirius either.

Now, dropping Mike Malloy altogether with other questionable programming moves too.

I've about had it with Air America. I might tune into KLSD, but XM is this close to getting dropped by me. Whichever satellite service picks up Malloy will get/keep my business. I no longer am tied to Air America any more.

There was an article a while back that interviewed him and he said he was inspired by listening to Rush Limbaugh in wanting to take over Air America as a talk radio entity. Air America owners/investors should fire his ass and replace him with someone that has a decent sense of who AAR's customers are as well as being a good businessman. I do believe it is possible to have both. Goldberg is definitely not that person.
