150. people who continually act
inappropriately are generally discredited and eventually ignored.

Before all this I still sort of liked Cindy - before the continual attacks by her rabid supporters started driving me into the 'good god get her off the stage' camp.

Just because I don't worship her every move, word, and deed, doesn't mean I'm not anti-war, doesn't mean I'm not a good person, doesn't mean I'm not a good Democrat. Just because there are some people who believe she "speaks for all of 'us'" doesn't make it so.

Just because she lost a son in the war doesn't make her any better, doesn't make her any more qualified, doesn't make her some automatic spokesperson for the "cause. A lot of people have lost children, wives, husbands, brothers and sisters in the war. I feel as sorry for them as I do her. (And that includes Republicans and Iraqis and anyone else who lost a loved one.) Doesn't mean I have to check my opinion and my intellect at the door, either.

FYI a "Savvy protestor" would have arranged to have a meeting or hold a large enough protest (wow. 70 people.... ) to make a difference. Why not coordinate something big enough to really garner attention? What about the 27th? Why the rush??? Why not make a REAL impact instead of coming off looking like some half-baked crackpot that people (the ones WITH the power to truly do something) will increasingly dismiss. They will start to run when they see her coming.

I know I'm becoming increasingly jaded - not only with her, but with those who want to eat their own just because they happen to disagree with you/her.

And I could give a rat's ass if you "respect me" or not.
