gotten to the point where the disagreement causes people to be dead.

Imagine that the person dead is a member of your family. Or a neighbor, or a friend.

That person is dead, because others were arguing about this or that belief. Dead. Forever.

Why? Because someone else felt that it was for a good reason, and your loved one just happened to be in the way of bullets while their beliefs were tested.

Dead is dead.

Can anyone point to a war that actually created anything that couldn't have been created in a peaceful way?

The Civil War. That's the first on American's lists.

Well, what would have happened if, instead of fighting the south, the north allowed them to leave the union? There would have been no 200 years of lynchings. There would have, without a doubt, been progress in the south that led to the same result as the war; with better consequences. I believe that.

War solves nothing. This country is nuts.
