I am glad that your hired hand has seen the light about G.W. Bush, but I wish you hadn't chosen to write about him using class stereotypes.

By the way, you might want to clean up some of the typos in your post, lest folks think you're some kind of ignorant redneck:
  • ...gas is just to high (or are you attempting to recreate his quaint, rustic speech?)

  • ...you have a lot of imports (me) from that commute into Washington DC to work...

  • He was kinda of afraid to call me...

  • etc.
"Hillbillies" are the one group that many people still feel they can ridicule with impunity. Wellsir, I can tell you that I've lived in the South all my life, and some of smartest people I've ever met were "hillbillies," including the one who turned me on to Lorca's poetry (he read it in Spanish but loaned me an English translation).

So I suggest you drop the defensive attitude about what's "PC" or not and try to see past people's accents and appearance to discern what they're really all about.
