This is one of my pet peeves. I just received a notice of annual meeting, and the booklet was about 75 pages long, with over half of it justifying the board of director salaries.
I also noticed in the last couple of years where shareholders are proposing their own proposals to be voted on at the shareholders meeting. I voted for a company to pony up to study global warming.
Of course, the board of directors recommended that we vote against THAT one.
