It must be government issued. Some elderly and shut ins don't drive, thus no driver's license.

I don't know how hard IN pushed the issue and told people what to do...but it is most definitely a way to keep the disabled, the poor, and low income from voting.

An example. I had to renew my driver's licence recently. The only instructions on the teeny card that came gave a website. Then it said if you don't have internet access...call this number.

The website was confusing even to someone good on computers like me. Setting up an appt was a pain in the neck.

So I called the number. They gave me the run around, even though they did answer promptly. First question, do you have internet access.

To older people and disabled, things like this are very hard to do. We have helped neighbors who get confused over such things, though they seem simple.
