I guess my real point was the truly amazing job the Power has done dividing us into huddled camps. Sides in politics can be a good thing, ambushing Breitbart with aggressive questions and a camera is just theater. Sure he deserves it, but I'm sick of the air of "triumph" over something like this like it's solved anything. The fringes get all the attention, that's the only reason his name is even known to any of us.

The "sides" would be more meaningful if they were at all organic. We've chosen our sides based on political leaders who don't give a crap about any of us. The Democrats in the senate and congress care about average Americans? Bullsh*t. Maybe Bernie Sanders, and that's why he's an Independent. So all we do is hunker down and do "left" things and feel like we're "making a difference," then roll our eyes over those "other" people doing "right" things that are truly destroying our country. It's the way the Power wants it...keep us at each others' throats while they steal as much as they can. Every single person in this country who earns less than $200,000 a year SHOULD be a registered Democrat. Why aren't they? Because they're either, A - too drunk on Jesus and conservative social issues to realize what's really going on or, B - they realize Democrats are just shills for big money, same as Republicans, and they'll vote for the lesser of two evils when the time comes.

Yes, watching Breitbart getting a taste of his own medicine was funny. But funny in kind of a sad way; sad that we even know who he is. Or care.

He's the poster child for the way we all get our knowledge now...from either one completely partisan side or the other. There is no truth in media anymore, it's only which side will help confirm your bias. Which channel will update your talking points for the next dinner party; or monster truck rally.
