Before I go any further, this idea has been approved by administration

Tired of buying your Christmas wreaths and holiday decor from a department store with a "made in China," tag on it? Then don't.
After talking with several other DU'ers, I realized that there are so many talented people here at DU who don't get the opportunity to show, much less sell their own product or craft. So, after getting some ideas and Skinner's approval, we can officially set up "shop" right here on DU.

Since this is the first year DU has done this, it's going to be interesting to see how this goes, but hopefully, DU will rise to the challenge and make the administration proud of how we can come together to help one another during these difficult times. This is a time of year when many struggle--financially and emotionally--so if you have things that you normally would like to sell, but don't have the forum for it, here's your chance. Even if it's chocolate, cookies, or hats...give it a whirl.

There are still some kinks to work out, so post your thoughts and ideas here. Of course each person can decide how they want to be paid and just like Ebay, know who you are buying from.

Also, one last thing. Skinner has not asked for any proceeds whatsoever from what you sell, so giving a small token or donation of your appreciation, for his kindness in letting us do this would be really nice:)
