It is debatable imho in these things what helps us and what doesn't
But if Cindy McCain doesn't want some (fairly mild) mockery of her absurd statements like this one, imho she would do well not to yammer on about Michelle's "patriotism" and other such nonsense.

She is a public figure, wife of a man who wants to be prez, has a fairly sketchy past (drug theft from her own charity, book-keeper during the Keating mess etc.)-it is to be expected that when she says absurdities like this she will be mocked from the left :shrug:. I don't see how it is in such poor taste. Can you imagine the blood-bath the media would have if one of the Dems was married to someone who stole drugs from her own charity?

Good on her for adopting the kid definitely, but imho given how shady some of her charities have been, I don't have that much compunction engaging in some relatively mild mockery of these statements of hers regardless. She would do well not to "go there" honestly regarding some of her charitable work.
