Fuck. All I have to say is that one fucking word and you are all supposed to be as offended as all fucking hell. We are told that fuck is an offensive word, shit is an offensive word, goddamn is offensive, and we are supposed to cringe when we hear these words.

But while we get offended at a word like fuck we can listen to a word like war and not blink an eye. In fact many have been trained to believe the word war is an honorable word, it is something that we are supposed to embrace and celebrate because they tell us that war brings us freedom.

If some fucking right-winger tells us that they want to blow Iraq to kingdom come we are supposed to respect their opinion, but if someone tells that right-winger to fuck off and stop advocating murder we are supposed to be offended because that someone said the word fuck.

Where in the fucking hell are our priorities? People are being blown to fucking bits in a massacre in the Middle East, and yet our society tells us we should be offended because of a fucking four letter word. Sure we may have heard the word fuck a million times, but we are supposed to keep being offended by it.

Well fuck it! I am not offended by the word fuck, I am offended by all the fuckers that go on television and lie to us about the illegal occupation of Iraq. I am not offended by the word shit, I am offended that people are being treated like shit because the corporations want to profit off their labor. I am not offended by the word dick, I am offended by that Dick who is acting as our Vice pResident.

And let us be honest, how many people really are offended by the word fuck? I hear the word all the fucking time and I rarely see anyone blink an eye when they hear the word. We go to the movies, we listen to popular music, we go to the grocery store, and we hear the word fuck nearly every day. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. I can say it a million times, and most people don't fucking care. But yet despite the fucking fact that they aren't offended by it we have been conditioned to believe that it is an incredibly fucking offensive word.

We have been conditioned to act offended when we are not offended, and to shut our fucking mouths when someone says something truly repulsive. If we call out a fucking racist comment we are accused of being too politically correct, if we say we are offended when our politicians threaten to bomb the fucking hell out a nation that poses no threat we are accused of not respecting their opinions, when we get pissed off because people are committing crimes in the White House we are accused of spitting venom.

We are not supposed to get offended at all the crimes that are being committed in our names, instead we are supposed to be offended by a few four letter words. Well fuck that. I am not going to be offended at trivial bullshit, I am going to be offended by those fucking religious right fuckers who tell us that we need to be offended when we hear “dirty words” right before they launch into one of their homophobic tirades.

So go ahead, say fuck, shit, piss, goddamn, and motherfucker all you fucking want. But as soon as someone says a truly offensive word like war, then we can start getting truly fucking offended.
