1. Why is there so much secrecy about the president's
surveillance plan? That raises my suspicions that it had to do with targeted domestic spying possibly on independent-thinking people and political opponents. Could it have been spying on news media and members of congress? I'm just speculating.

The details need to be revealed because, once again, our imaginings may be worse than the truth. Then again, with the Bush crowd, again and again, the truth has been worse than my worst imaginings.
