Upside is:
that it really pays a fortune and time and a half for O/T.
I get to work on the space program which I really want to do.
location doesn't totally suck - it's near Washington D.C. so there will be plenty to do.
Downside is:
that it is contract w/no benefits but almost all my jobs have been this way.
that I have to go to VA for the contract and will be out of touch w my Florida friends.
I had an alternative perm job offer here in Orlando but it was with a defense contractor instead of space, required a clearance that I probably couldn't have gotten because of my credit in the last few years, and paid less.
Outside of this there really haven't been any engineering or tech jobs in Florida in the last 6 months so I decided to go for it and take the oppty in VA.
