Admittedly, I don't look at The Onion as often as I used to years ago, but I've read/watched it recently, and I don't recall EVER seeing anything quite as bad as the examples you linked. I guess I need to amend my statement to, "The Onion 'usually' gets it right." But I can still say that (in my experience) The Onion does not make the mistake MANY other satirical publications do: not projecting enough absurdity on important, debatable, or controversial topics. IOW, I see a lot of them that come off as odd, but still believable. Some topics necessitate obviousness in satire.
