I don't know a damn thing about Thompson, but I suspect the best thing he's got going for him (besides bein' right there on the teevee) is that he is NOT one of those clowns who debated last week. Even the freepers can't work up much enthusiasm for any of them!

Plus I would like to second Bill Maher's opinion that for such a homophobic group, they sure do get gay about the likes of Reagan and Bush (remember the famous 'flight outfit' comments, DOUBLE BLECH!)
