Public Opinion.

If a majority of Americans don't agree with something could it be right? Should we do something because a majority or Americans want it done? A majority of Americans did not want to go to Iraq but we did anyway. A majority of Americans wanted the public option but we didn't do that. Does public opinion matter on this that we have passionate feelings for? I just hate the whole argument about well a majority of Americans want it so we should do it.
