I'm not diabetic but often when I order fast food I order a diet drink, mostly because when I indulge I'm much more interested in getting a little fast food fix than in the drink. Just because I indulge from time to time doesn't mean I have to go ALL out. A regular soda has a LOT of calories and a ton of sugar. It doesn't "cancel it out," but at least it doesn't make it worse. But it always does sound kind of funny when I order. :)
